Summer Showcase 2023: Schedule & Player Notes

Tuesday

8:00 AM         Session I Check-in at River Bluff HS entrance by football field

8:40              Session I Players report to CF for meeting & stretch

9:00               Session I Workout (60’s, Defensive workout, BP, Bullpens)

11:30             Session II Check-in at River Bluff HS entrance by football field

Noon              Recruiting 101 Seminar with Stuart Lake/David Beckley (Gator Commons in near end zone)

12:40 PM       Session II players report to CF for meeting & stretch

1:00               Session II Workout (60’s, Defensive workout, BP, Bullpens)

4:00               Game 1: White vs Black (10+ inning game)

Day 1

 Session 1 – Red, Grey, Orange, Gold

Session 2 – Green, Blue, White, Black

Wednesday

9:00 AM              Game 2: Red vs Grey (10+ inning game)

Noon                   Game 3: Orange vs Gold (10+ inning game)

3:00 PM               Game 4: Green vs Blue (10+ inning game)

*Once each day begins, all times are approximate, if we are ahead of schedule we will move into the next session/game immediately.

Player Notes:

-Players are responsible for bringing baseball pants, HS hat, bat, glove, helmet, indoor shoes and any other equipment you may need. DP will provide your jersey.

-Game Rules: 4 hitters = 1 inning

-Parents: Once games begin, please vacate the area behind home plate for coaches and scouts to evaluate.

-On Day 1, the registration tables will be stationed next to football stadium and beyond the RF corner. Players are to put equipment in 1B bullpen, wear turfs/running shoes, then report to CF at assigned time to meet and run 60 in spikes. (Can hit in cages prior to meeting)

-Please be familiar with the schedule and be on time (or early) when your team is scheduled for activity. You are free to leave after your games, batting cages are available before activity begins. Please clean up after yourself.

-On Day 1, Stuart Lake & David Beckley will conduct a Recruiting 101 seminar for players and parents. He will touch on topics ranging from selecting a college, financial aid, the NCAA Clearinghouse to the MLB Draft. If you have not pre-registered for this seminar already, you may pay cash when you check-in, the cost is $25 per family. Note: The seminar will be held in hospitality room of end zone in football stadium at the conclusion of Session I.

-Concessions will be available each day, courtesy of River Bluff HS. BUT players are allowed to bring coolers with drinks.

-DP apparel will be available on Day 1 only.

Directions to River Bluff: 320 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington / There are three entrances to the HS, athletic parking lot the second entrance from either direction.
