Just when you think you have seen everything that you could possibly see on a baseball field, something new pops up. We were delayed on starting the 60’s today so that cow pies/dung could be cleaned up. It was evident that the local cow had really enjoyed making its way through an open gate in the outfield the night before and feasting on the nice green rye grass. So after some clean-up, we started our baseball workout!
Matt Covington’s team is senior heavy this year and they have four college commits. They are hoping that is enough to put them in the drivers seat in the toughest 2A region in the state. The Panthers are counting on consistent play from their senior leaders: Scott Price (right), Cory Harmon, Will Berry and Cooper Gunter. It appears that the Panthers will be able to ride the arms of Scott Price (right) and Cory Harmon and make this region interesting as they go down the stretch in the 2010 prep season.
