On Friday, Nation Ford HS 2023 OF Nick Chuttey made a commitment to play college baseball at Montreat College.

-Ben Ehrlich- Ben Ehrlich is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He played at Richland Northeast for Barry Mizzell,  where he helped with the 2001 AAAA State Championship, was All-State, and the North-South game MVP. He graduated in 2001 and signed to play college baseball at Winthrop University.   Ehrlich played for two national-ranked teams at Winthrop in 2005 and 2006. He participated in regionals in Knoxville, Tennessee and Chapel Hill, North Carolina and was a captain on the 2006 team. Ehrlich received his bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in arts and teaching from Winthrop. Upon graduation, he returned to the Columbia area to teach and coach baseball at Blythewood High School. He will be entering his seventh year teaching and assisting with the varsity team in the fall. Ehrlich’s responsibilities at Blythewood include working with hitters, base runners, and outfielders. In addition, Ehrlich is currently in pursuit of a master’s degree in sport psychology. He is a sport psychology consultant and mental conditioning coach who works with teams and individual athletes to promote peak performance and enjoyment of participation in sports.
