DP will provide your jersey. -Scrimmage Rules: 4 hitters = 1 inning -Parents: Once games begin, please vacate the area behind home plate for coaches and scouts to evaluate. -On both days, the registration tables will be stationed behind home plate (enter between the soccer & softball fields) then report to RF at assigned time to meet and run 60 at assigned time. -Please be familiar with the schedule and be on time (or early) when your team is scheduled for activity. Summer Showcase 2020

By: DP Staff – May 26, 2020 After a ton of calls and work to create Plan B-Z, here is what we have arrived at for our Summer Showcase: -Dates will remain June 10-11 and site must be moved to Columbia International University; Lexington County has disallowed any facility use until July 1; CIU and HC Jonathan Johnson have been amazing in helping us in this transition! -To remain compliant with Governmental Guidelines, players will only attend on Day 1 or Day 2, not both days. Format will include four separate sessions: Players will run 60, have defensive drills, take BP, throw bullpens then an ‘organized scrimmage’. Players can leave when they are finished. Proposed Format (Rosters to come June 3/4): 9AM Wednesday Session 1 – Gold/Red 1PM Wednesday Session 2 – Blue/Grey 9AM Thursday Session 1 – Black/Green 1PM Thursday Session 2 – White/Orange -Division I coaches have received word that they cannot evaluate off campus until at least August 1. That DI date was updated on 5/27 -Junior College coaches can attend the event and we are working actively with DII schools to have a coach work the event and be in attendance both days. -Whether a player has signed up for an in-depth evaluation or not, Diamond Prospects is adding that to your showcase experience, FREE of charge. This eval will be provided to any school that requests it following the event. -Each player/guardian MUST print a Covid-19 waiver and bring to registration, which is posted on DP also… {Waiver} Failure to bring it signed by parent/guardian will result in the inability to participate. -Historically 20-30 new players punch their ticket to the Palmetto Games, getting on our radar or showing who has put in the work during recent Pandemic could prove valuable for you! -Any player that notifies us before May 31 that he will NOT attend can receive a full credit toward a future DP event. -Lastly, Government Guidelines will be followed, so this event will not look the same. But we will comply and ask that all players and parents do too by spreading out. Parents and players, since 2006 Diamond Prospects has been the gold standard for giving kids the platform to showcase what they are to evaluators. Our goals remain to give each of you that same perfect effort at this event. We are excited to be the only show in town and cannot wait to see some baseball! Play Ball in a couple of weeks!
