15th Annual Diamond Prospects Pro Day  Blowfish Stadium – January 30, 2021 -Schedule for Saturday – 9:00 AM  Check-in at Blowfish Stadium (Pick-up jersey) 9:30       Player meeting in CF 10:00      60’s begin, then Defensive workout, BP, Bullpens 1:15        Pro Day ends 2:30          USC Intra-squad @ Founders Park Most Important Thing: Please stay tuned to www.TheDiamondProspects.com in the hours leading up to the event for any last second announcements. Also, in the case of inclement weather before the event, the DP website and Twitter @diamondprospect will be our only way of communicating with you. ————————————– -Player/Parent Notes- -Players are responsible for bringing baseball pants, HS hat, bat, glove, helmet, spikes, indoor shoes and any other equipment you may need. DP will provide your jersey. Hitters: Bring wood bats. Cages will be available to hitters upon arrival and throughout the event in the covered facility. Please put all equipment in the area past the 3B dugout, not in the dugout. –Wood bats will be used for hitters during BP; cages, balls will be available to hitters prior to event. -The registration tables will be stationed at the Blowfish Stadium facility, directly behind home plate. -Face coverings will be required to enter the ballpark. There is no limit on the number of patrons that can attend. UPDATED 7/31 4:32pm Jeffrey Joseph Young, 49, passed away from a heart attack on Friday, July 28, 2017, in Greenville, SC. Jeff, born in Mariemont, OH, is survived by his wife, Laura Gard Young, and their two daughters, Natalie and Carlie. Jeff is also survived by his mother, Joanne Young O’Connor, his sister, Denise Peters, and his brother Tony Young. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Young. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in downtown Greenville will host A “Receiving of Friends” on Friday, August 4th, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. A “Celebration of Life” will follow at Fluor Field at 7:00 p.m. At Jeff’s request, his body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a scholarship fund that has been established for Jeff’s daughters. Scholarship checks should be made payable to: Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan and mailed to Merrill Lynch, Attn: Brian Palisin, 1301 Gervais Street Suite 1500, Columbia, SC 29201. Jeff Young’s “Baseball Memorial service” will be Friday, August 4 at Fluor Field in Greenville. It will start at 7:00 pm and go until 9:00 pm.
