Diamond Prospects hosted our 17th Annual Palmetto Games on Saturday & Sunday at August 10-11 in a return to Sumter’s Historic Riley Park. Once again, our marquee event featured the top committed and uncommitted prospects from every corner of our state. Always a scouting bonanza, so many quality players have graced this talent show in previous years, 2024 was no different! FYI, was a very-strict, invite-only event. Player/Parent Notes Hydration: Please begin hydrating in advance and players WILL be allowed to bring a small cooler into the dugouts. -Players are responsible for bringing baseball pants, HS hat, helmet, indoor shoes and any other equipment that you may need. DP will provide your jersey. –This is a BBCOR event. Players are encouraged to bring their own BBCOR bats. -Wood bats will not be required in games but can be used Saturday in batting practice on the field if chosen for your round of BP. Please bring your own lumber. -The registration tables will be stationed at the entrance to Riley Park (behind home plate) -Parking: Ample space is available behind entrance to Riley Park (behind home plate) -No spikes are allowed in the cages or in the stadium concourse, only on the field. No sunflower seeds in the cages. -Concessions will be available courtesy of American Legion P-15’s -DP apparel will be available Day 1 only.
