Prospect Info: Class of 2015

-Prospect Info: 2015’s- Dylan Thompson – Socastee HS, Coastal Carolina commit, RHP/INF: Very impressive showing this weekend which earned him MVP honors. What Thompson did from the bump was as good as we have seen stuff-wise over the years. Thompson blended in a four pitch mix that he had complete feel for. Fastball climbed up to 91 as he pitched … The new DP website is here. For all the great DP content, subscribe. If you have any login/subscription issues, please contact our support team. Prospect Info: Class of 2016

-2016- Grant Bodison – Mauldin HS, South Carolina Commit, MIF/3B: While taking home the Palmetto Games Most Outstanding Player Award, Bodison showed why he’s been on the radar for awhile. With a very athletic frame, Bodison looks the part and follows it up with production. He showed good instincts both in the field and on the basepaths. With the b… The new DP website is here. Prospect Info: Classes of 2017 & 2018

-Prospect Info: 2017’s & 2018’s- Chase Williamson – Lexington HS, South Carolina, LHP: Even though Williamson is only a sophomore, his name is well known considering he has been pitching above his age since eighth grade (probably longer). There is no doubt he has arm strength (86-88). What he lacks is the ability to repeat delivery, arm slot, … The new DP website is here. For all the great DP content, subscribe. 4A Finals: Game One

4A State Championship: Sumter at Northwestern
Opening game of the 4A State Championship series was on the slate tonight and DP was right up in the middle of it as Northwestern hosted Sumter. Both clubs have had solid runs this season and look to close it out with a ring. Sumter’s Charlie Barnes was set to square off against Northwestern’s Eri...

Pitch Calling Gone Wild

Pitch Calling Gone Wild

Signal little leagueI anticipate this article to be very controversial. My thoughts on pitch calling are very different than what I see in today’s baseball. Not only has pitch calling reached little league baseball (blows my mind) but the method behind it has gotten more and more complicated.

Greenville at Wren

By: Taylor Black & Barry Mabry - May 12, 2014
DP checked in to watch some free baseball tonight with an emotional AAA upper state matchup between two very good teams. Two South Carolina commits battled it out, as Wren junior righty LT Tolbert took the mound against Greenville senior lefty Clark Scolameiro.

3A District III Title Game: BHP at Eastside

Mitchell-Graham-stanceThe 3A District III playoffs received the nod tonight for DP over at Eastside HS as the Eagles hosted Belton-Honea Path Bears (BHP). The Eagles made a run in 2013, making it to the Upper State Championships and look to put themselves in position again this year. BHP needed to take two games from Eastside to advance and they had their horse’s lineup ready to go. Heavy thunderstorms came through and dumped on the field with more lingering as the night progressed. Baseball was played and a District champion was crowned.
