Matt Ishee

-Matt Ishee- Matt Ishee has nine years experience at the Division I college level. He began his DI coaching career at Mississippi State University in 1997, where he spent five years and was responsible for the infielders, bullpen activities, on-campus recruiting, bench coach and coordinated the popular Mississippi State baseball camps. During his five seasons at State, Ishee was a part of five NCAA regional appearances including four NCAA regional championships in 1997, 1998, 2000 and 2001, and an SEC tournament championship in 2001. He was a part of MSU’s back-to-back College World Series teams in 1997 and 1998 and coached in two NCAA Super Regionals. Prior to moving to Charleston, Ishee was an assistant coach at Jacksonville State University where he worked with infielders, base runners, and hitters. JSU won the Ohio Valley Conference in 2004 and participated in the NCAA Regionals. He moved to Charleston in 2005 and spent one season at Charleston Southern serving as pitching coach and Assistant Head Coach. Throughout his college coaching career, a combined 47 players whom he either coached or recruited to school were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft or signed free agent contracts.  Eight of these players have played in the Major Leagues.  Ishee is a camp veteran, coordinating and participating in over 200 camps and clinics nationwide and including Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Currently Ishee coaches for the nationally recognized Diamond Devils Travel Baseball program in the summer and fall. He does private lessons in Mount Pleasant, and helps local high school teams when his schedule permits. Ishee is married to the former Kristen Quinn and lives in Mount Pleasant.

IP Classic

Along with 25+ scouts, DP was camped out in Georgetown for the 23rd Annual IP Classic.
