Scout Day: Aiken Hornets

By: David List – February 23, 2009

milanes.greg.jpgThe Aiken High Hornets are primed with a very experienced team to make a run at the Region 4, 4A title. That will be a tough task as realignment has brought eight teams into the region, which was traditionally a very tough six team region.

Coach Derek Luton’s team will be led by Thomas Timmerman and Greg Milanes (right) both in the field and at the plate. These two should log their share of time on the mound during the 2009 campaign as well. Underclassmen support should come from Bryce Clifton, Spencer McCants, Bobby Hass and Hanlon Maivelett.
