Tragedy Strikes, Baseball Responds, Needs Remain: READ NOW On Wednesday, while Camden was playing at the Forest Acres Classic, Bulldog catcher Josh Lund learned after the game that his family’s home had burned to the ground due to an electrical fire, completely lost. AC Flora began taking up a donation of money and for clothes. As a result, thousands of dollars of clothing and cash were given, but needs still exist. So we are reaching out to the baseball community for more help.
Their greatest needs at this stage are lodging and help to buy back the life they lost in flames. Gift cards are needed to: Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, etc. Cash/check donations can be made out to Wendy Oddie. All can be sent to Camden High School to the attention of head coach Denny Beckley at: 1022 Ehrenclou Dr, Camden SC 29020.
To date, noted assistance has been provided by the following high schools:
– AC Flora
– Camden
– Carolina Forest
– Dreher
– Laurens
– Lugoff-Elgin
